Course Format The course is in an asynchronous online format. You are expected to explore concepts and complete assignments each week without any prompting from me. You will also be expected to participate in online discussions in a timely manner throughout the course. 1. Familiarize yourself with the course. Get to know the course management system we are using. Make sure you understand not only what is required, but when it is required, and how to meet each requirement. Contact me if you have questions. 2. Read the course syllabus (found on the course home page). 3. Have self-discipline . An online course gives you flexibility to do coursework wheneve you want, but it requires self-determination and motivation. There are weekly assignments and deadlines. 4. Avoid interruptions. Avoid all interruptions and distractions while you are studying, reading, working on assignments, taking exams, etc. Find a place that is free from distractions.

5. Stay in touch with me. I will have office hours, but also contact me when you have questions about course topics and content. I will respond to questions within 24 hours and will provide feedback on assignments within five (5) days after the due date for the assignment. 6. Pay careful attention to instructions and be certain that you understand what is being asked when submitting assignments. Ask if you are not sure. It often helps to develop a brief outline of the problem in your own words. If you still have questions please ask before submitting your solution.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
