Most of the time the left hand does all the work hand

This preview shows page 5 - 6 out of 6 pages.

In this activity the operator's left hand is idle, while the other one reaches the bolt. Most of the time, the left hand does all the work. Hand and arm motion should be symmetrical and simultaneous to minimize hand/arm coordination. The operator can use both hands in assembling to be able to finish the product easily. We proposed to change the workplace s design from the old design we add a holder for the bolt so both hand can do the same job at the same and to lessen the idle time. We redesign the position of the materials to be used instead of one straight layer we make it two layer; bolt and nuts for the first layer, and for the second layer both washers will be placed. The elevation of the working table will be inclined up to 30°. We also add a holder that has a hole like the head of the bolt. In this type of design the extension of the arm will be lessen and the work of both hands will be easier. And for the bench to be used we make it an ergonomically design bench compose of a comfortable back support and hand support, with this design both hands and the operators back will be comfortable and it will be good to lessen the operator fatigue. B. Workplace Arrangement The location of the parts must be organized or properly arranged to be able for the operator to assemble the bolt and washer easily.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
