Essay/Summary Section : (Each question must have a minimum of 1 paragraph with at least 5 complete sentences. Do not exceed 3 paragraphs.) 1. Type at least 1 summary paragraph of the evaluations you received from the class. Students had a blast during the class lesson, each and one of them were engaged in learning about money. Students loved the “Counting Coins Song” so much that they wanted to hear it all over again. My class loves songs, therefore this was a great strategy to use for their learning. As I did my class rounds, I noticed that each student was doing a great job modeling the coins in the paper and then cutting them. I did notice some mix-ups when it came to evaluating the value of each coin because they confussed the coins and the colors. This problem was mastered as they went to the different stations in groups and did the different manual and virtual activities. Students enjoyed the bingo game in a highly matter to the point that they asked to do the same game for other subjects. I think this was the best way they learned the concept of value in coins because they heard what they had to find and they worked independently to find it. The class loved all the activities and found them very encouraging. My class is looking forward to learning different money values and play with actual coins. 2. Type at least 1 paragraph about what you will do differently to improve your effectiveness as a teacher. I believe that to improve my effectiveness as a teacher I need to plan and think more advanced when it comes to coming up with activities for differentiated learning. Apparently, this activity ran very smooth, but I believe it could have been more diverse in learning styles. If I were to teach the lesson again, I will provide actual coins instead of the chart itself. I believe that doing this will give each student a better view on coins and the values since they are able to see and touch the actual coins. I think that I need to research a little bit more before the planning of Page 4 of 5

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
