01.04.2019CS 2401 - AY2019-T3: Week 3 Discussion Question 18/44by Godwin Opelikwu - Wednesday, 20 February 2019, 4:06 AM good job Rachel I thought the same too. He has mistaken one for another. thanks for a keen sight. 18 words Permalink | Show parent | Reply Re: Week 3 Discussion Question by Jim Casale (Instructor) - Wednesday, 20 February 2019, 10:19 AM Sage, You are correct. An example of use case testing would be "to test the input validation of the ATM program". The tester (be it a human or software) would input a range of values to con³rm the software is working as designed and the result is correct. Does that make sense? It willlist all system behaviours in a decomposed (sub-behavioural or step-by-step usage case) formforall eventualities and actors without detailing what actorswill use whichof these modular usage cases according to (Marsic, 2012). According to (Marsic, 2012)usage scenarios are use case statements that distinguish between individual actors that may have varying requirements within the same system. They are targeted at (or based on) a speci²c actor or group of actorsand will normally focus on theactor, his goal and which use cases will be used as actions in order to accomplish this goal.
01.04.2019CS 2401 - AY2019-T3: Week 3 Discussion Question 19/44Table 2-1 as per (Marsic, 2012) details the system to be's comprehensive, actor- independent use case list of all behaviours supported. These use case statements need to be decomposed (broken down) into their smallest base use cases before they can be used in further engineering planning. Table 2-4 as per (Marsic, 2012) lists usage scenarios or use case scenarios as per actor, their goal and the base use cases (a.k.a. actions) used in order to achieve the goal listed. One could see the use case names listed here as method names in Java.
