immoral and that she would have wasted all the money they spent on college, but she stood her ground and followed her dream, but at the cost of her family. Family is one of the most basic and important aspects of our life. Without the people we love and understand the most, life would be empty and depressing. But, sometimes we must choose to further ourselves and accept our changes when those people reject your progress. In “The Metamorphosis,” Franz Kafka shows us that our changes and transformations can sometimes alienate us from who we love, but we should not let that stop us from being who we are.
