By using a database, programming a dynamic E-commerce website becomes more suitable as we now have to focus only on the presentation and performance of the website while all interactions are being controlled by a database platform. So that we have a better understanding of the presentation and performance of an E- commerce website. E-commerce applications data falls into two categories. Site content & Transaction data. Site content is what we see when we browse through a webpage. It’s the data that generates the dynamic HTML pages , including: Content pages like about us, contact, FAQ, and shipping policies; Product pages showing details — price, dimensions, weight, color, size — for the items a company sells. And transactional data, is the outcome of users taking action on a page. A newly installed e-commerce application will have no transactional content. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
