In order to receive a high grade in this class, you must make a commitmentto excellence in the quality of work that you do and plan to come to classprepared each time we meet. While the ability to remember what someoneelse has told you and the ability to follow directions is valuable, top studentsand the best future employees distinguish themselves by demonstratingmotivation, insight, and understanding that has its source within theindividual. Our class time together is limited; reading and studying areimportant to success.Final grades are made available to each student within the StudentInformation System (SIS) now web delivered via MyTCC or SIS. You willreceive an email notice within 48 hours after final test was taken.Based on the progression of the course, the grade distribution for eachassignment may change. Specific Grading Scale:Tests 3 x 20% = 60%Paper = 20%Attendance = 10%Authentication Meetings = 10%Academic PoliciesStudents are responsible for being aware of the policies, procedures, andstudent responsibilities contained within the current edition of the TCCCatalogandStudent Handbook. Students should familiarize themselves withthe college's policies regarding misconduct and inclement weather found intheStudent Handbook.Withdrawal PolicyStudents who wish to withdraw without academic penalty should contact acounselor to determine the appropriate procedure. Withdrawals throughcompletion of 60 percent of a session will result in aWgrade. After 60percent of a session is completed, a withdrawal will result in a grade ofFin acredit course or a grade ofUin a developmental course, except undermitigating circumstances that must be documented by the instructor andapproved by the academic dean. Dynamic session classes have uniquerefund and withdrawal dates.
