Photosynthesis occurs in two stages. These stages are called the light reactions and the dark reactions. The light reactions take place in the presence of light. The dark reactions do not require direct light, however dark reactions in most plants occur during the day. (3) Where is the chlorophyll distributed in plants and animals? (4) What is the function of chlorophyll? Chlorophyll’s function in plants is to absorb light and transfer it through the plant during photosynthesis. The chlorophyll in a plant is found on the thylakoids in the chloroplasts. (5) Define the terms “transpiration” and “respiration”. What is the difference between them? Transpiration is the process of water movement through a plant and its evaporation from aerial parts, such as leaves , stems and flowers . Respiration is the biochemical process in which the cells of an organism obtain energy by combining oxygen and glucose, resulting in the release of carbon dioxide, water, and ATP (the currency of energy in cells). TRANSPIRATION RESPIRATION 1 These questions help you understand the experiment. You will be asked randomly about these questions during the Pre-class assessment and during the lab section (Prepared by MSc. Le Nguyen Thien Phuc) Please check submission deadline on BlackBoard

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
