Figure 2 . Surface currents on Earth. Compare the pathway of the shoes from Figure 1 to Figure 2, which shows the major surface currents in the Pacific. Which current(s) did the shoes most likely encounter? The north pacific current and the Alaskan current. Which data point from Figure 1 is an outlier? What may have happened to this batch of shoes? Point J is an outlier. This batch of shoes most likely moved more eastwards. How fast the shoes traveled: How many days did they take to travel that distance? Approximately 188 days. Give a possible explanation as to why some shoes drifted northward along the coast while others drifted southward. Some shoes drifted into different currents and therefore they went in opposite directions. Your friend has invited you onto her family's boat for a day of fishing. After lunch on the boat, your friend wants to throw a bag of trash overboard. After researching the impact currents have on objects, explain what you would do in this situation and why. I would tell her that is an ignorant and terrible to do to our ocean and its marine life. I would tell her to leave the trash bag on the boat until we can safely throw it in a garbage can when we get back onto land.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
