children. As implied in the movie, such socialization does not only happen in the society set up but also the learning curriculum is designed to socialize children to different gender roles. The two movies create different expectations for the adult population. The first expectation regards cultural diversity so that all people should live together and be exposed to equal opportunities irrespective of cultural and racial differences involved. This is the case in the princess cartoon where the little girls become princesses despite the differences in their skin colors. Similarly, the kid’s movie on gender roles creates different expectations across genders in the adult population. This is the reason boys are socialized into masculine activities while girls are exposed to more feminine tasks such as house chores. However, such socialization may be misleading in the modern world of globalization and women empowerment were females are now undertaking career roles that were preserved for men in the patriarchal society.
