During my observation hours in the athletic training room, I never felt bored. There was always something going on to watch or do. My scheduled time was from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Tuesday. At this time of the day, the ATR is pretty calm normally. My first day was a typical slow day because most of the athletes were already at practice. I got to witness a test for the 292 class, which gave me a nice insight as to what I would be doing in the future if I stuck with this major. I really enjoyed watching the evaluations of athletes. I got to observe an AT evaluate back injuries, lower leg injuries, shoulder injuries, and much more. I enjoyed this part of my observations the most because I got to see the interaction between the athlete and athletic trainer. That relationship is very important when working in this field and it’s always really cool to see a trainer that truly cares about helping athletes get better and get back to what they love doing successfully. The interview of that AT’s was probably the most influential assignment that we had in this class. Actually being able to talk to people who have gone what I’m going through was really cool.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
