Owing to the inferior management of its former management Celcom was found liable by an arbitration panel in Switzerland for infringing an agreement signed with Deutsche Telekom AG's unit, DeTeAsia in 2002. The tribunal ruled that Celcom was liable to pay DeTeAsia US$177.2 million in principal plus US$16.2 million in interest as well as other legal and arbitration costs. The total sum was about RM740 million, leaving Telekom Malaysia to intensify its efforts at recovering monies from Celcom's previous owners. For our project we are choosing one of the agent of Celcom company which is SEJAGAT INDAH ENTERPRISE in Kangar, Perlis for interview. The person who incharge as manager is Muhammad Ilias bin Md Zahir. This enterprise have 3 branches. The main office and one of the branches are allocated in Kangar, Perlis and another branch are allocated in Arau, Perlis. Encik Muhammad Ilias have 10 workers in total for his 3 branches. In our interview, he said that he started with 6 branches for his business, but since he faces an economic problem so the 3 of his branches are need to be closed. To accomplish these objectives, celcom has developed a benchmark for progress in three different categories. Firstly, through using a market penetration pricing, the service will be brought to the customers at affordable and reasonable prices. Secondly, by gaining a better understanding of the need and satisfaction of the current customers, they will improve the service to encourage re-orders. Finally, the service is to be able to utilize it’s current technology and knowledge base, and research as well would be conduct on similar products with an eye towards developing the services to a speciality advertising product.(Williams & Ferrell 1997, p. 364) 5
