the words and sentences.
10. By following these eight steps, I hope to be a better writer.

Every tea estate in Sri Lanka is a self-contained unit that has houses, roads, and it
has its own water supply. The estates have hundreds of workers. They are made
up of men, women, and children. They work from morning until the night comes.

Every estate is supervised by planters who have experience and are trained. They
are provided with bungalows, comforts, and transportation. In exchange for their
comforts, planters are expected to run an estate efficiently, profitably and without
trouble.
Tea is collected in baskets worn on the workers’ backs, and wages are paid either
weekly, biweekly, or they are paid monthly.
