R has a very good package management system, which looks for updates in the repositories defined by getOption ( "repos" ) , and installs either from source or as binary, depending on getOption ( "pkgType" ) . You can see the by using available. packages () , see the packages you have not installed yet by new . packages () , and install packages "foo" and "bar" by install . packages ( c ( "foo" , "bar" )) . Of course if you install from source you (sometimes) need a C and/or fortran compiler. And using a WWW or native GUI such as RStudio or R.app makes life simpler. As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
