Sustainability is not something that just happens, it is something that should be planned, communicated and integrated into an organisation’s culture from the very top of the structure, down through all the layers. Sustainable workplace policies build on an organisation’s commitment to sustainability through developing the capacity of staff members to become active contributors to local workplace solutions to the pressing global environmental problems, such as climate change, environmental pollution and the degradation of natural resources.
