Working in the
Emergency Department, I frequently care for patients with psychiatric issues, dependency issues, patients with suicidal ideations and or attempts or patients with homicidal ideations. I recently spoke with a couple of coworkerswho are originally from other countries where mental health is viewed so differently. For example, someone explained to me that being suicidal is illegal where they are from and they would just be put in jail rather than receive any type of crisis intervention.ReplyReply to Comment
