Use Grammarly and SafeAssign to improve the product.Explain how Grammarly, Safe Assign, and paraphrasing contributes to academic integrityNurses are faced with the daily situation regarding integrity. Nursing integrity starts with proper education. According to Hoskins, Grady, and Ulrich (2018) “high-quality ethics pedagogy should be an essential component of nursing education.” Nurses who have more ethics education are more confident to take moral action in their nursing career. (Hoskins et al., 2018). In advanced nursing education, educated in scholarly learning and proper citing of research and sources to back up our writing. This skill introduces us to help promote not only
academic integrity and prevent plagiarism but to help improve professional nursing ethics on the job. A nursing student needs to be ethical with writing and citing sources. Paraphrasing, or rewording the ideas of another author needs to be cited to the original author to maintain academic integrity. All writing and opinions need to be original unless appropriately referenced to original credit author. As advanced nursing students, we are given resources to help improve our writing abilities and support ethical writing and integrity to our studies. Grammarly is a resource to enhance scholarly writing. This resource improves grammar, spelling, punctuation, and adds to a more professional sounding paper. Grammarly is a learning tool as well. It explains why areas of yourwriting are incorrect and how it can be corrected to be most professional. According to Walden University, Academic Skills Center “plagiarism occurs when a writer fails to cite the source material from which they took words and ideas.” In addition to creating a professional paper, Safe Assign is a resource to ensure plagiarism has not occurred and achieve academic integrity.
