This leadership instils and nurtures team players that are vision oriented and who are geared towards finding problems affecting the organization, pursue solutions thereof and implement the identified solutions. Such a team through their focus on the long term goals of the organization increase productivity in their places of work. This management style focuses on planning, organizing, proactive leading skills and sustenance of processes of an organization. Planning involves identification of priorities in regard to goals and objectives, the results that are desired in attaining details, how the identified results will be met using what resources. Organizing on the other hand places the above priorities in the order accomplishment. The details of aspects identified in planning are organized in this stage. What follows is the active participation of the leader to meet the desired results. Just like the transformational leader[Sus13], such leaders do work on the sidelines but with the employees by inspiring and influencing them to achieve the organizational objectives. The sustenance of processes involved in goal achievement such as resource management, feedback system, job performance, risk management and legal compliance must be adhered to[Car121]. Leader-Member Congruence in leadership Zhang and Wang explore the exchange between the leaders and their followers in what is called leader-member exchange or LMX which dyadic in nature-a relationship between leaders and their employees. It encourages that leaders have an exchange with their followers and this leads to employee responsibility, choices and accessibility to job performance and resources[Zhe12].

BUSINESS 6 Effects of Leadership styles on Job Performance Transformational Leadership This type of leadership style promote creativity and innovativeness among the followers and initiate inspiration to workers to work towards new ways of achieving goals from the traditional methods that weren’t working. They instill improvement of followers in aspects of motivation to work and professional ethics[Ali13]. Transformational leaders create a relational working environment with beneficiaries as well which increases employee job performance[Ada12]. On the other hand transformational leaders are associated with creation of knowledge and positively influence follower engagement at work that improves job performance[JiH12] Authentic Leadership According to Wang, authentic leaders have insight on the present and what should be done and thus provide the best course of action to be taken. Authentic leaders lead by example and they are the first to work on the course decided. This attribute of participation and collaboration is most preferred by employees and increases motivation, courage and the confidence found in this leader attracts trust of followers.
