Another output argument, NumAffRows (Number of AFFected Rows) exists for Query, Update and Upsert operations: If used with Query, then NumAffRows provides the number of rows that are returned as a result of the query If used with Update and Upsert, then NumAffRows provides the number of rows that are updated Updating a Process Property with a Siebel Operation Step You can define a test workflow process that uses a Siebel operation in order to update a process property. This technique can be useful during development. For example, you can use the sum of two business component integer fields that provide input to a decision that is downstream in the workflow process. By updating a process property in the Siebel operation step with the sum of the two required fields, you can use this property on a subsequent branch connector. To update a process property with a Siebel operation step 1 In Siebel Tools, define a new workflow process using values from the following table. For an example, see “Defining the New Workflow Process” on page 256 . 2 Add steps and connectors until your workflow process resembles the workflow illustrated in the following figure: For more information, see “Overview of Workflow Process Steps” on page 65 , and “Diagramming a Workflow Process” on page 122 . 3 Click the canvas, making sure no workflow process step or connector is chosen.
