Reading Notes 15:07NancyGot mad at husband because she was doing all of the work She mad a deal that she cooks 3 days and he cooks 3 days and they go out on Sundays She said that Evan did not like rigid schedules Evan forgot to cook sometimes and the more she reminded him the more that he forgot She would start getting mad at him and make emotional jabs towards themShe is always tired, comes home and has to cook/ clean and take care of child Nancy wants to be a women that was need and appreciated at both home and work Evan doesn’t like to do muchEvan- imagined things differently He didn’t see why just because he choose a demanding career that he had to change his own life (she is a social worker) Nancy earned 2/3 less and they could do with out her salary Evans mother told her that Nancy was too forceful Evan had lost his job before Evan had drinking problems in the past Evan wanted Nancy to cut her work hours so that they could fit everything in After 7 years they began to fight a lot Evan won and Nancy would do the second shift They divided the labor by upstairs downstairs Nancy pushed her husband so hard Forced to choose between equality and marriage Its so hard to accomplish and equal marriage Equality was so important to Nancy
