Names of differ salivary glands: Parotid gland, Submandibular gland, & Sublingual gland Parotid gland : Secrete saliva into oral cavity via parotid duct that pierces buccinator muscle to open into vestibule (space between gums and lips, located inferior and anterior to ears, between the skin and masseter muscle) Submandibular gland : are found in the floor of the mouth; they are medial and partly inferior to the body of the mandible. Submandibular ducts run under mucosa and enter oral cavity Sublingual gland : are beneath the tongue and superior to the submandibular glands; the sublingual ducts open into floor of mouth in the oral cavity proper Cranial nerves : facial and glossopharyngeal nerves which stimulate salivary glands 11.
