each container. All calculations were recorded and significant figures were accounted for. Lastly to measure a temperature on a thermometer that was not calibrated, the student placed it in an ice bath as to get the thermometer at 0°C and measured it in centimeters. Then to get the number in centimeters corresponding to 40°C the thermometer was placed in boiling water and the distance was again was measured using the ruler. Analysis: When the vial was first agitated it took 5 seconds to react and turn to blue and 47.38 seconds to the initial stage. Once the sample had been exposed to the source of light the color of the sample had gone from being a blue color to a more purple/violet. At this point although it had changed colors the time it took to return to clear was the same as it had been before. The sample was then agitated again and placed in the ice cubes. This took longer to return to clear. Placing the sample into the ice slowed the reaction back to clear it took 6 minutes 30 seconds. Then the same sample that had gone through the light was then placed in the boiling water, this reaction took 1 minute 8 seconds. In order to get data that had not gone through a different condition before being placed in different temperatures, a new sample was used and placed in the boiling water at 40°C. It took this sample 18 seconds to return to the initial clear color. Finally this new sample was placed in the ice and it took 1 minute for the sample to return to the clear stage. When the data was compared with

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
