Is it better for the baby to never be born than born to a mother that couldn’t give it a home and a good life?  Cheryl Alkon said, “I appreciate that life starts early in the  womb, but also believe that I’m ending it for good reasons.” Over 44 million precious  lives have been taken since the legalization of abortion.  Is there that many “good  reasons” to end a life.  And is it really a woman’s choice to make?   “A human being does not  become  a human being but rather is such from the  instant of its fertilization” (Schwarz).  From the moment the baby is conceived, it has  everything it needs to become a person.  Nothing needs to be added.  It’s a whole human.  1

Pope It’s argued, “The zygote cannot be a human person because it doesn’t look like a human  person.” But it does look like a human being at that stage of development.  Just because  the fetus does not look like a familiar human being does not mean they aren’t one.  In  fact, it would be even more odd if a fetus looked like a normal, fully developed human in  the womb.  But it’s improbable to convince everyone that either side is completely  correct. Another question is that of the emergency contraception pill (the morning after  pill).  Is it abortion?  The chemical in emergency contraception pills work to prevent a  fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus, which some abortion opponents consider to  be the same thing as an abortion.  Some doctors are now offering pills to their patients.   Not because they are sick, but for the pure fact of being a woman.  The point of the  morning after pill is for a regret from a mistake made the night before.  Conservative  Nathan Tabor said, “The morning after pill doesn’t just prevent pregnancy, it can also kill a child who has already been conceived in her mother’s womb.” Just because women  have sex on the weekends and drink a beer or two on Saturday night, doesn’t mean the  doctor should be handing out six packs every time a woman comes in for a flu shot  (Tabor).  When America was asked if the pill should be available without a prescription  48 percent said it should be, 41 percent said it shouldn’t be, and 11 percent said they  didn’t know.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
