For technical assistance, please contact the Harvard Business Publishing Tech Help line at (800) 810-8858 (outside the U.S. and Canada, call 617-783-7700); or email [email protected] . Our business hours are 8am-8pm ET, Monday-Thursday, and 8am-7pm ET on Friday. Students will also read a Sustainability and/or CSR Report from a company of their own choosing and submit a review of that report. Review the guidelines on Canvas. Lastly, there are readings - both required and optional - that are available to download on each Module Content page and in the Files section. While not all the readings are required for the discussions, they are important to the final assignment. In terms of the selected readings, my broad goal is to get both excellent and current readings on sustainability, CSR, and related innovative initiatives being undertaken by companies that are the most worthwhile to read and analyze. Course Goals Changing business needs due to the impact of population growth (9 billion by mid- century) and climate change (global temperatures to rise by 5 degrees by mid- century). Understanding the language and evaluation of CSR initiatives and business models from a short and long-term perspective. Business responses and initiatives, IPAT Model, UN Development Goals, corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs and frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the new Integrated Reporting Methods.
