Nature of man Man is at once the Khaliafah (vicegerent) on earth and ‘abd (servant) of God. The role of khalifah implies that the nature, the universe and other creations are entrusted to man for his utilization. كفتي موقل تايل كلذ يف نإ هنم اعيمج ضرلا يف امو تاوامسلا يف ام مكل رخسو نور ( The role of ‘abd means that man does not have any independent authority or absolute right other than to follow the will of God.

In fact it is another sign given to man to direct him to worship God. Beside visible material world there is also the invisible world ‘alam al-ghaib which is real and existing to the Muslim.

Continu… Nature is in natural submission to God (Qur’an, 7:54, 22:18, 24:41) in ways known to God. And meant for man to utilize as khalifah and ‘abd Man is asked to reflect on the majesty and orderliness of the of nature to see these signs of God existence and to submit himself to God.
