I also like this, “Finally, behavioral CQ should positively relate to task performance. Those with high behavioral CQ flex their verbal and nonverbal behaviors to meet the expectations of others” (Cultural intelligence,2007). I guess the reason I liked this comment so much is because it’s a common response across any issue, “it depends” every scenario is different and “it depends” what’s happing as to what the response should be.

DELETED DUE TO TURN IT IN REPORT 6 Entry #2 The instructions indicated we needed to do weekly entries into the SLP as a Journal, so here we are with entry number 2 and so far, I have MOD 1 of the LED520 class completed. The class discussion was over Nacirema, Miner, H. (1956). Body ritual among the Nacirema. American Anthropologist 58:3. Retrieved from . Body ritual among the Nacirema is an interesting read for sure, at first you are astonished in the descriptions and actions of this culture but when you realize that it’s modern society America it’s an eye opener. In our day to day actions we never real think about all the crazy things we do and how they must appear to other people and or other cultures. The second week discussion assignment is: Why do some of the practices and rituals of other cultures seem odd or foreign to us? How do our own cultural norms affect our understanding and perception of other cultures? I feel it’s all about perception, we as humans are a product of our environment and see diversity and culture through the lens of our own culture and environment, we were raised in. Humans are creatures of adaptation, we adapt to the things around us either in a positive or negative fashion. For the Case assignment we drove into the foundation and meanings of CQ Cultural intelligence, The developmental continuum of cultural sensitivity, & Key components of CQ. In doing so we find what it takes to become culturally sensitive, educated and experienced for interacting in a professional world of multi-cultural business. The readings show the important transition from first needing the desire to learn culture differences then the different factors and even stages. The only thing I am currently struggling with is the culture experience we are planning to do. The instructions state it has to be a group event/environment yet can’t be anything that

DELETED DUE TO TURN IT IN REPORT 8 SLP # 2 What did the CVSCALE reveal about your cultural values? In this assignment we will cover how my social qualities compare to my CVSCALE Individual Cultural Value Scale scores. Then compare my outcomes to or against those of America's social qualities and see what likenesses and contrasts there are. First, we will need to know how the CVSCALE is defined and what makes it is so critical, first we need to initially jump into Hofstede's 5 measurements of social qualities.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
