PART 3: Executive Summary - Social Media & Marketing [25 points]Given all that you have learned so-far about social media and other information that you will research, you are to write a 1-2 page, double-spaced summary about what you’ve learned from your demographic table and from your analysis of the 3 websites. This is an overview for others in your company (your boss, a colleague, etc.) of what social media is and how it might be targeted differently for each of the 3 generations. You could, of course, use the 3 websites you chose (one for each generation) to illustrate your points. You may also choose other websites.Here are some pointers:Start by choosing a company (real or hypothetical) that is considering using social media. You could use the company you identified in Case #1 or another. You must clearly define the product/services this company is targeting with social media. For example, you might choose back-to-school clothing from Justice Brothers. The more specific you are, the better your targeting.Identify the types of buyer(s) you’re trying to reach. Use demographic and psychographic variables to do this and make sure to use the data from the demographics table. Using our Justice Brothers example, it might be teenage boys, 11-15, etc.Given the PRODUCT and the TARGET MARKET, describe some social media options that you might recommend as a starting point. At least two options should be given. Make sure to identify your goal for each social media effort.Remember… you need at least 3 external references in this case.
Given the data you’ve accumulated in the chart above and other information gathered from your research, write a 2 page Executive Summary (double spaced) comparing and contrasting these 3 generations with a particular emphasis on their interest in and use of different kinds of media. Make sureto use external resources to support your analysis. There have been three different generations defined. These include the Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Generation Y. I will be describing the differences of these generations. I will have a particular emphasis on their interest in media and technology. The baby boomers generation is children that were born between the years of 1946 and 1964. The most distinguishable characteristic of this generation is they are the post World War 2 babies. Baby boomers are associated with a rejection or redefinition of traditional values. This generation was one of the first that was supposed to improve with their age. They were the wealthiest generation up to that time. They were also incredible in shape and physically fit. The boomers were motivated by salary and work was very important to them. This generation used technology strictly for work purposes. Mainly for documents, emails etc.
