I found a blog for people with diabetes, and  they have a bunch of recipes and advice.  They said fruit was a good option, and that  you could freeze the fruit and then use it in  smoothies. So I started doing that--bananas,  strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, that kind of thing. And I also read that yogurt would  help with metformin side effects, so I put that  in there with the fruit. Sometimes instead of a  smoothie, though, I'll have an egg with wheat  toast and a yogurt on the side. what is usual lunch? Question   10/18/18 3:23 PM CDT A lot of times I'll have leftovers from dinner, or I'll make something that I can have all week. I found a recipe on this blog for people with  diabetes for black beans with roasted  butternut squash and either quinoa or brown  rice. I also make tuna with olive oil, onion,  and cucumber chopped up in it and have that  on wheat bread. What else. . . I found these  wheat wraps I like, and I'll put chicken in there with spinach, tomato, and feta cheese. what is usual dinner?
