guidelines. If any policies or guidelines are missed the manager should step in to correct this or help the employee to understand what the mistake was. The next time a project is to be completed the employee will try not to make this mistake again. If the employees are left to complete projects and there is a lack of following guidelines, this results in more work for the employees, as well as management. A key strategy would be to have a lecture type presentation to outline the policies as well as some activities during the lecture to stimulate the employees and keep their attention. To follow up, another training session could be implemented to give examples to employees of when they need to pay close attention to the guidelines. Therefore, the next projects that are completed will have much higher success and close adherence to what was recently just, “words on paper” to employees. . 2. In what ways should Senior Management be involved in your HR communication programs/policies? Answer: Senior Management should be involved in HR communication programs and policies by helping HR in enforcing the communication programs by staying in close contact with HR as well as employees to ensure that policies are being followed. If not, Management should take it upon themselves to speak with HR to either adapt the policy to suit the company or employees better. Also, they can help to change the programs by learning what the employees need from day to day. Their needs will be different so the only way of finding this out is to ensure that communication is strong between Management and employees and any problems are voiced to the manager, who can help HR communicate policies better. 3. What are the benefits of having Senior Management involved in the overall communication strategies of the company? Answer: The benefits of having Senior Management involved in the overall communication strategies of the company are that they can oversee all of the work being done and what exactly needs to be changed when it comes to communication. As Management, every employee should be contacted to keep updated on his or her work and HR may not always have knowledge to what employees need. It is up to Management to make sure that communication is successful and constant between employees and management as well as the HR departments. If any lose contact or the ability to communicate efficiently, the overall communication throughout the business can quickly degrade. 4. If Senior Management thinks effective communication with all stakeholders is a waste of time, what key points could you present to convince them otherwise? Answer: If Senior Management thinks effective communication with all stakeholders is a waste of time, there would be some key points that you could present to convince them otherwise. Mainly, if communication ceases between the stakeholders, there could be problems that result in the company due to misled work duties. If employees and stakeholders don’t know what is necessary of them, you cannot expect the business to function efficiently. Each team needs to communicate to accommodate each
