Values-- Core beliefs or desires that guide or motivate attitudes and actions. They also define what we prize the most. Ethical Values-- Directly relate to beliefs concerning what is right and proper ( as opposed to what is correct, effective or desirable)
Ethics Terminology Moral Duty-- The obligation to act or refrain from acting according to moral principles. Establish the minimal standards of ethical conduct. Moral Virtue-- Goes beyond moral duty and refers to moral excellence, characteristics or conduct (say, generosity or valor) worthy of praise or admiration because they advance moral principles.
