According to literature, responsibility accounting is the main tool to establish accountability in organizations (Holtzman, 2013). While I believe this is important, I think it is more important to note that it also states that in also guarantees that subordinates will receive the authority to perform tasks and are held accountable for their performance (Holtzman, 2013). While success is always a derived from accountability, it is also imperative that subordinates are empowered to make decisions that may or may not result in success. I believe that one of the quickest ways to prevent organizational growth is by restricting subordinates and by micromanaging or creating bottlenecks by not empowering everyone.
