wanted to play with while the therapist stayed in the room but, merely was following the child’s  lead.  The independent variable for this study is the different forms of media given to the child  to play with. The children will have two different forms of media as a way to try and form a  conclusion based off their reactions. One of those is musical instruments ranging from mallets,  pianos and guitars. I will measure my independent variable by using the nominal scale where the  musical instruments would be listed as Media 1 and the toy group would be listed as Media 2.  The comparison group of this study is the use of the form of media which would be the toy, this  could be any toy of the child’s choosing that is not related to music in any way.

7 Some ways I could try to eliminate confounds using this design is to make sure that the  therapists know prior to working with the children, the music therapists are only allowed to  engage with the child through music. Whereas, the other therapist can engage with the child  however they like using the toys but are unable to use any sort of musical instrument.  The dependent variable for this study is the communicative response  the child gives after playing with the different forms of media. The way I would measure my dependent variable in  this study is simply by using the ordinal scale, I would use this because the responses will not be  consistent across the scale because every child reacts differently. We would have multiple  cameras at different angles in the room where the child is playing with the therapist that we  could view along with the parents. The therapist also being in the room would take detailed notes after the session is over observing if there was a change in motivations of the child, social  interacting with the form of media and the therapist, as well as the emotion of the child  themselves after the therapist led part of the session and after the child-led part of the session.  The therapist would use a scale from 1 to 3 in how they felt the child reacted to the different  scenarios of child-led/therapist-led and using the musical instrument/toys on top of using the  observational notes to try and get a more clear answer on how the child responded. At the  completion of the study I would let the parents know of our observations of their child in each  setting and would thank them and their child for their cooperative participation.  Additional Concerns Along with completing a study there’s still concerns to be had in the effort of trying to  obtain a clear conclusion based on our hypothesis. When obtaining our sample of children to

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
