evoking the viewer’s curiosity. Red color repeats many times during the movie which shows killing brutal death of animal and human. Also, the most scene is black and blue dark. It expresses a nightmare and a darkness life of the workers at the slaughterhouse at that time. From the beginning to the end of the movie, we can hear the small animal sounds echoing from the background every time a murder occurs. It emphasizes that we are not any different with animals. Overkilling animals is as bad as killing a person. We just have to consume whatever the amount we need to eat. According to Buddhism, animals and human are equally living creatures. We should limit eating meat as much as possible. It can be said it is Sally’s nightmare. In this movie, I think Sally imagined a monster which is Leatherface in her dream. According to Stephen T. Asma, “The monster concept is still extremely useful, and it is a permanent player in the moral imagination”. That is totally true that people always images monsters in their dream not only to conquer but also learn how to react to dilemmas situation. ID, Ego, and Superego play such an important role in our decision making. We cannot always use one element out of those three all the time. That is why they co-exist to help us make an immediate and appropriate decision even though it can be right or wrong, and we are not sure.
