and to reframe from disappointments helped her bounce back; more importantly, being a
disciplined thinker and authentic articulate person. Oprah was able to bring about effective
change in the organization without very little push back; regardless of how employees may feel
about their managers, bottom and top executive hold her in high regard.

Developed by Don Clifton (father of Strengths Psychology) to help raise self-awareness
through the assessment of personal talents; Clifton StrengthsFinder self-assessment gives you a
better chance of success in life by opening the doors to what makes you tick. Using this self-
assessment, five strengths were revealed; first, individualization supports my instinct ability to
observe other’s style, motivation, how they think and build relationships. Because I am such a
keen observer of other people’s strengths, I tend
to draw out the best in each person; in business,
individualization helps me to build productive
teams in the startup companies and small
business I assist in developing and structuring.
Figure 9 highlights stand out qualities; like, I
generally feel good about myself, can easily juggle several projects simultaneously, the ability to
become well acquainted with individuals and I like figuring out other’s behaviors.
Second, input supports my inquisitive side and overall need to collect things (words,
facts, books, quotes and other tangible and non-tangible items). Whatever is collected is done
because it interests me; in other words, my mind finds many things interesting in this beautiful
world full of infinite exciting and complex things. For instance, if I choose to read a lot; it’s not
necessarily to refine theories, but rather, to archive more information. Figure 10 (left) highlights
stand out qualities; such as, avoiding chit-chat
or meaningless talk, determined to push for
change that benefits mankind, attracted to

intelligent conversations and by nature restless until a concept, theory or idea has been
thoroughly examined.
Third, the learner theme perfectly supports
my passion and deep love for learning, I will
forever be drawn to and excited by the
overall process of learning. The steady and
deliberate journey from
ignorance to competence completely
energizes me; more importantly, the thrill of
discovering the first few facts and early
efforts to practice and master a skill entices
me. This excitement and enticement keeps me to engaged in adult learning experiences; such as
current efforts to pursue my MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. figure 11 highlights
stand out qualities; such as, posing never before asked questions, thinking deeply about things is
a necessity, strong concentration skills, drawn to the process of learning and analyzing and
investigating mistakes.
