listen to others without researching it, thus causing many unnecessary arguments between people. Like how you also stated above. During the election time, almost all my friends become "very well educated" in politics and state their opinions without fact or furthermore research on their claims. I tend to stay quiet during these times in hopes to avoid it all together with the "clashing of friends". Great post!AmberMichael G. Roskin, Robert L. Cord, James A. Medeiros, Walter S. Jones. I have known people that will vote Republican despite whether the candidate is a good candidate just because they, their parents, grand parents, etc. "have always voted Republican". Same can be said for those that vote Democrat. I think that every candidate should be looked at individually and decisions made based on experience, education, and values rather than party affiliation. Sadly, when people are not informed or uncomfortable with a subject such as politics, they will side with the majority. Also, it is important to have a say in what is going on around you. The political decisions people make will affect many lives. Many people see politics as thegovernment and the laws being made, and that is true, but it is way more complicated than that. Every law that is made will impact many. Sometimes the
decisions will affect people in a bad way. Every vote that you make will either break people or make people.Tarsha RichardsonTarsha RichardsonOct 29, 2017 Oct 29 at 7:29pmManage Discussion EntryHello LeaI am in the same boat as you, I do not know much about politics myself. I think that since starting this class it has been an eye opener. I don't even like to talk about politics but this class will bring it out of me I guess.I also think that people make emotional decisions when it comes to politics but I think it may be due to lack of education too.Social media during the last election really made people show their true feelings. I know I had some friends that did and I was floored. People that I hadknow for years made me look at them differently.I started to wonder what and how they really felt about me.Collapse SubdiscussionRebecca WahlfeldRebecca WahlfeldOct 23, 2017 Oct 23 at 10:08pmManage Discussion EntryProfessor Tuholski, and class,Political science is a study of how people think, behavior, and actives It is important to study and understand politics. Many people would rather have their toes chewed off than discuss politics. Especially in this day and age there is so much information that is wither not true or half true. I feel like people need to understand politics and to be educated on what they believe. Voting is a privilege and with that vote comes
