Step 4: After you have completed the first page and logged a full week of activities on the 2nd page, you cananswer the four reflection questions on the last page of the packet. These areDUE BY THE END OF WEEK 5. Besure to answer the questions thoroughly and check for grammar and spelling. I suggest answering thequestions in a Microsoft Word document. Step 5:Due week 5 is also a SMART GOAL that you create based on what you learned about how you spendyour time.Learner Profile PaperThe Learning Profile paper is a three- to four-page paper summarizing key elements of your personal learningexperience. The paper should be an honest, open appraisal of your past experiences and self-knowledge, theresults of the learning styles inventories you completed, and insights from activities you have completed(FOCUS2, Multiple Intelligences, Time Monitor Log, etc.). Your paper should address the elements outlined inthe general framework identified below, but do not just mechanically answer the questions. Using the four keyelements described below, be creative and make the paper reflect you in a personally meaningful way.Besure to follow the Grading Rubric. If you need assistance, you can get help in the Learning Lab or AcademicCoach from a tutor or staff member.Be certain to include an introduction and conclusion and format your paper according to the instructions in thesyllabus.1. Describe your purposes for attending college. Relate a few of your most important reasons for continuingyour educational experience. Relevant topics might be:Why are you attending college?What do you expect to gain from your efforts?How important is this decision to you?How clear are you about your major area of study?2. Briefly describe your own “educational journey” from the perspective of the past, present, and future,addressing the issues below:How has your educational experience gone up to this point?What “lessons” about yourself as a learner did you learn in school at elementary, junior high and highschool levels (the good ones and the not so good ones)?What sort of attitude and motivation do you feel for continuing your studies?What are your current hopes and concerns about being in college?What are your specific academic goals for this semester?What are some potential barriers to achieving what you want in college?How committed are you to achieving that goal?What specific behaviors demonstrate your level of commitment in action?How positive and confident are you about creating that outcome?3.
