Especially if the area in the TLE you are teaching is not vertically inclined to your major field, because we all know that TLE is a skill subject, and as a teacher you need to demonstrate or show to your students the procedure in a certain job.” Another said: “Very true and one thing, like for example, in my early years of teaching in ICT I am grasping the lesson I will teach to my students, and NC II is not yet that known by that time, and I keep questioning myself if the lesson and the skills I was teaching to my students were correct? But when NC II was introduced and then I passed the test, that’s the time I become more confident in my teaching technique.

8. What training program can be developed to improve the competency and performance of TLE teachers? D2 “I guess the program or the training I can suggest to develop and improve for the competency of TLE teachers is the upgrading of skills, as what I have notice there are lots of TLE teachers in capiz who are not yet equipped and updated in the latest trend of teaching skills and techniques, like for example, in drafting major which is integrated with ICT auto CAD. Upon observation, TLE teachers are still using manual skills but when it comes to CAD only few teachers master it. To the part of students when they go to senior high they will undergo assessment, so if they fail it will be a boomerang to you as a teacher. Once again I suggest to update our teachers and train them in latest trends, like NC II holder or teaching methodology ™ assessor.” D1 “I agree, that is why as an ICT teacher I recommend also the ICT integration not only for Drafting major or ICT major but also in all areas of TLE Teachers. Because, just like what maam said some of the teachers are not equipped with ICT knowledge even in simple program like Microsoft excel or MS word. Truly, we cannot deny the contribution of ICT to us and most especially to the learning development of the students. The technology will not adjust for us, but rather we as the teachers, should be the one to adjust and adapt with the latest trends and technologies.”
