other productive gear, in the instance of having a female, Muslim employee that wanted to wear a head scarf, would this be safe? Could it get caught in the equipment? Instead of thehead scarf is the employer ok to off other head gear for the employee to wear? These are now all things that have to be considered and worried about post this lawsuit. In general employers don’t want to offend anyone or be sued, but what about their rights as a company to protect their image. Business owners don’t always have a clear set of rules to follow so this can cause a problem (Olson, 2015). This ambiguity of the rules can cause a lot of problems for employers. Take the company Hooters, if a Mennonite girl applied to work there, do they have to accommodate her modest wardrobe, it makes you wonder why they would even apply there. For employers maybe it is best to apply deontology ethicswhen trying to respect their employers’ religious beliefs. This ethics focuses on rationality (Dpadvertisingco, 2013). It looks at what is good as it relates to duty as it applies to a moral code of life. For me, I think people in the day and age are taking things to the extreme, you should apply to work somewhere because you respect the image of a company and your morals match their views, if they don’t match, maybe that company is notthe best one for you (Geller, 2015).
