some ways, I see this as a weakness, but I also see its value as a preliminary study. Outlining the major differences of brain function in ASD sets future studies up for more detailed research. Although this study did not answer any big questions, I do think it covered a lot of ground and may lead the way for future studies. For instance, though they may not know the exact role or state of the mirror neuron system in ASD, they did confirm that it appears to aid in social attribution and may be under-functioning in ASD. Because of the nature of their findings, the statements in their discussion are more general than direct, which keeps their report valid. I think that they accurately conveyed their findings and proved the significance of these findings throughout the article, using discussion, tables, and photos to explain. I think this study is merely the tip of the iceberg for this material and that future studies can use it for reference for a variety of different new studies. They could focus in on one of several aspects of this study. The first thing I would hope to see in future studies is a much larger group of subjects. I also think it

would be beneficial to find a way to incorporate lower functioning subjects in future studies, though I understand the added challenge and complications with this.
