Weather plays a vital role in agriculture, so many research works has been done on weather prediction. studies have shown that machine learning techniques achieved better performance than traditional statistical methods. Radhika and Shashi (2009) has used support vector machine for weather prediction. They used time series data of daily maximum and minimum temperature at a location is analyzed to predict the temperature of the following days.

Achieving the maximum yield in low cost is important in agricultural production, early detection and management of problems associated with crop can be used to improve yield of a crop and subsequent profit. Amatya et al., (2015). proposed study on yield prediction in which they developed a machine vision system for automatic shaking and catching cherries harvest which has potential to reduce harvest labor cost. Bayesian classifiers are used to classify image pixels into four classes, they are branch, cherry, leaf and back ground.
