is in heaven (Matthew 6:9-14, 28:19-20, Acts 1:8). Those who put their trust in Jesus Christ for salvation and follow his commands experience a renewal of the original purpose that God gave to humanity in the garden of Eden. However, not everything on this earth is experiencing the complete restoration of God’s ultimate plan yet. Christians eagerly anticipate the return of their savior and king, Jesus Christ. In Revelation, the author wrote about the day when Jesus Christ returns to earth to judge the living and the dead. When he returns, he will establish a new heaven and earth and God will dwell with his people in right relationship once again (Revelation 21:1- 5

4). In the meantime, Christians are commanded to show radical self-giving love to their neighbors and their enemies just as Jesus did. By doing this, Jesus’ followers will fulfill the greatest command and people will recognize the reality of who Jesus is (John 13:34-35). Analysis One of the greatest benefits or strengths of the Christian worldview pertains to the belief that God created human beings for a purpose. Christians believe that God created human beings in his image and for a purpose, and a lot of people are drawn to Christianity because they realize that the God of the Bible is a loving and caring God who values his creation. The apostle Paul states that “ we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10, New International Version). Most people desire to live a life of significance, and Christianity succeeds in offering people meaning and purpose in life. Another strength in the Christian worldview is the character of Jesus Christ and his influence on humankind. People can argue about the divinity, humanity, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, but one thing is obvious, his teachings, especially about non-violence, serving and loving people, and the golden rule have impacted humankind for over 2,000 years. Jesus Christ may be one of the most misunderstood persons in all of history, but he is also one of the most respected individuals in all of history. Even other religious groups believe he was an important prophet or teacher. Something that is confusing about the Christian worldview is the doctrine of the Trinity. There have been some great explanations on the Trinity, but a lot of people, especially new Christians, who have not studied the Bible that long, have a difficult time grasping and explaining the Trinitarian doctrine to other people. This confusion has existed for hundreds of years and pastors, scholars, and theologians from various backgrounds still debate vigorously over it. Another problem with Christianity seems to be Christians themselves. Of 6

course, not all Christians cause problems and trouble, but the wide variety of opinions and beliefs just within the Christian worldview alone has caused division and strife for centuries.
