Writing and reading then aided the people in keeping immense amount of information (tablets, scrolls, books, etc.) Communication was more syntactic where people became very particular to their grammar and sentence structures. There are a several differences between the two, the emphasis is on style. Oral culture tends to be very relaxed, spontaneous and repetitive. It is this way because oral culture is intangible, therefore grammatical errors slip because we are not able to notice, unlike on paper. It is also unstructured because while we talk we don’t necessarily think about being grammatically or doesn’t have clear structures; what is important is that the message is passed and understood. Oral tradition is repetitive because it makes sure that the message sent it clear and free of discrepancies. Literary culture on the other hand is objective, more formal and less repetitive. It is structured and formal because it is written on paper; therefore technicalities can be scrutinized by the reader. It is also less repetitive so that it will not bother or bore the reader. To
