How the Identified Issues Related to Management and Organizational Behavior The first issue identified has a close connection to self-evaluation where an individual compares his or her performance to that of the set standards or goal targets. Self-evaluation comprises of two aspects, and that is self-esteem and Self-efficacy. Self-efficacy can be defined as the extent to which an individual respect, like and are satisfied with themselves (Lattimore 16 ). In fact, according to some professionals, self-esteem is basically how one rates their success, and it plays a critical role in boosting a person’s morale. Miss Lang, the musical student, has low self-esteem and this prevents her from improving her performance. Mr. Holland, therefore, comes on hand to motivate and inspire her and indeed she feels motivated and performs better. The second issue has a relation to communication or exchange of information. Communication can be defined as the process of sending and receiving information between people. Effective communication is essential since the outcome of a particular task directly be influenced by communication. In fact, communication should be simple and easy to understand primarily when people are working in a team. In the movie, Cole is deaf, and thus there is a communication barrier between him and the parents. Iris is unable to understand the son’s behavior due to the language barrier. The son can only use non-verbal communication such as gestures and signs (Lattimore 22 ).
