17.A NOTE ABOUT SOURCES:Sources cited must be neutralin authorship, sponsorship, and must be recent. Primary source citations (used as evidence;examples, statistics, testimony) may not include religious texts (i.e. Bible,Torah, Koran, Zen, Wiccan Book of Worship, etc.). You will want to discernall outside resources carefully. Dictionaries may be used as secondary sourceonly;a dictionary source will not count as one of the required sourcecitations in any presentation.Wikipedia will not be considered as a sourcein this course. A maximum of (1) Internet “web site” sources—not to beconfused with research obtained through the database sources found on theLibrary Tab in Cougarweb—may be used.18. Expectations in this class are that you will work, act, and contribute asexpected at the college level. Grades are not given, rather earned and your
performance will reflect the grade earned.19. It is imperative you understand this is NOT a self-paced course. You arerequired to do each blog/assessment during the week it is assigned only. If youchoose to post blogs ahead of the week assigned, you will NOT receive creditfor them.20. When uploading videos, it will be very helpful to you if you compress the filefirst. Read the direction page included with speech assignment information toknow how to do this. Also, to ensure your video is uploaded on time, be sureno other webpages are open while you upload (close your Twitter, Google,Facebook, etc.) These will slow down your upload time and make it takehours.
