last incident, this also meant more consequences. As I was on the way home from a fun night with my friends, I became less focused on my driving. As I was turning left with an arrow, I noticed it was turning yellow. Instead of stopping like I should have, I accelerated threw the red arrow. Noticing my mistake, I soon realized the blue lights in my rear view mirror. The consequence for my mistake this time was not so lucky. My license was suspended for 30 days and was sent to spend work hours at the animal shelter. Despite my mistakes with driving and other things I learned much about life and what it takes to be an adult. I learned that someone cannot just wake up and be a mature adult. I learned that it takes mistakes, success, and much experience to mold into adulthood. Now eighteen years old, I have noticed that compared to the years that seemed to have flown by, I have grown more an adult each year. In my culture turning a new age can be many things. Growing older can be free, fun, more work, and stressful. There is no doubt that turning sixteen was a huge time in my life when I became closer to becoming an adult.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
