It is said that love as a prerequisite for marriage is a modern institution. Do you agree or disagree that love is a prerequisite? Be able to discuss and give your critical opinion (use both book and your thoughts). Answer Selected Answer: Personally I think very logically and do not see love as a prerequisite for marriage. That isn't to say I wasn't in love personally, but I can totally see why some people would do it. When I was growing up and was around 16 or 17 years old, I knew a couple that got married because her best friend had joined the military and had to leave and go to Germany. She did not want him to go, as they were life long friends and did not want to be apart. They weren't boyfriend/girlfriend though, just very close friends and they ended up getting married for a couple reasons. He would make more money if he was married in the military, she could be with him, and they could both still be happy and have each other. It seemed to work out very good for them, so I know it is possible. Correct Answer: [None] Response Feedback: [None Given]
