and expand the scope of service and benefits among the ageing population. A nursing career is a vocation that requires people to be dedicated to serving the community. This experience has helped me to understand the unique needs of the ageing population, especially the specific organizations, processes, and professionals dedicated to offering ageing-care services. I gained significant insights into the numerous challenges facing the elderly, the lack of enough personnel, and the abuse of the elderly population by health-care professionals. Also, I learned about the diverse health and social challenges facing the elderly population, including chronic illnesses, injuries, neglect, and abuse. I noticed that there are very few professionals qualified to offer ageing-care services, which makes it challenging to provide essential services to the ageing population. I was dismayed to learn that some health-care professionals abuse elderly patients under their care, which derails their recovery process. The learning experience will positively influence my duties in the profession because I realized the great significance of dedication, empathy, excellent communication skills, proper managerial skills to solve problems and ethical considerations in taking care of the elderly.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
