current manager. According to Hood, “A person behavior is holistic, a reflection of the person as
a whole”. (2018, p137). When sometimes we feel low, she uses to empower with her words and
compassion of care. I sometime think if I ever be a manager, I will take care of my employees
like her. She was also example of real mentor; she never fails to give advice whether personal or
professional. She was the real example of teamwork. Whenever we encounter conflict, she
settled down both parties in possible satisfied way. Nursing profession necessitates having
nursing leaders who demonstrate effective communication, strengthening intra and
interprofessional relationships, building and sustaining teams, mutual trust and respect, and
collaboration with others. (Holle & Kornusky, 2018) Healthcare is constantly changing and
evolving every day. To cope with this change we need to update ourselves in timely manner as

needed by continuing nursing education, promoting evidence based practice, working
collaboratively with multidisciplinary team for better outcome.

Hi Prof and class,
Like our healthcare system, nursing informatics is a developing area of nursing. Nursing
informatics is defined as "the practice of using nursing science and technology to enhance the
pathway that data take to become knowledge to improve patient care". (Week 7, 2021) Although
I have been using a lot of technologies in my nursing practice, BSN classes helped me to learn
and understand how nursing and informatics need to go hand on hand for the good patient care
outcomes . According to Hebda (2019), “Health informatics is formed by a merger of several
disciplines, including information science, computer science, and a specific health discipline: for
example, nursing or medicine”. It shows how development in present day technology is directly
affecting the way health care is provided. The information and knowledge from BSN classes will
play a vital role in my nursing practice. I will be using this knowledge to inform patients about

the best online resources available encouraging development and promotion of consumer health
informatics applications. BSN classes encourages me to stay aware of the new technology and
advancement that will bring changes in patient care.
