The boys sat quietly, then Alhaji asked. ALHAJI Did anyone bring any marijuana or cocaine? BOY Yeah I have some, here. They passed around the marijuana that one of the boys brought. But it wasn’t enough, so one of the boys asked. BOY Where can we get ourselves some good drugs in this place? The man who had brought the boys there walked into the kitchen, he said. LEBANESE MAN These are the new arrivals, I’ll bring you some food, and please, take your time. There is no need to eat fast. The Lebanese man smelled the marijuana, and asked. LEBANESE MAN Who was smoking marijuana? The boys had ignored the man.
