Opening a New Branch of Vietinbank in My Dinh: Overview of Vietinbank: Vietinbank was established in 1988. The English registered name of the Bank is Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade; where the trading name is VietinBank.“Vietinbank s majority stakeholder is the State Bank of Vietnam with 64.5% followed by Mitsubishi Bank with 20% and IFC with 8%” (Koh & Nguyen, 2018; Vietinbank, 2018). The current head office is in Hanoi, Vietnam. Vietinbank has 155 branches and offices in Laos and Combodia, 958 transaction offices in the country ( Vietinbank,2018). The Vietinbank annual report in 2016 the bank has 948.699 billion VND in assets and its ROA is 1.0% and it employs about 23,000 people. An analysis of the organizational chart (see appendix A) one can determine that Vietinbank has a highly centralized operations function with a decentralized branch system typical in Vietnam (Vietinbank, 2018a). Assignment will consider the business implications for Vietinbank such as the Business Type and Purpose, the Size and Scope, and the Interrelationship of Functions. In addition, it will consider the Human Resource requirements, including the Purpose of Human Resource Management (HRM), Critical Issues Related to Workforce Planning, and an Assessment of the HRM Process to open a branch in My Dinh. 1. the business type and purposes of Vietinbank: 1.1The different types and purposes of organization: In business and business environment, the public sectors are run by government for the benefit of community, the private sector is owned by individuals Owned by one person or by thousand. their business. A partnership is two or more persons co-ordinated for the purpose of a business or profession. The company/ coporaton is a type of business that characterizes separate legal personality from its owners . The Company has two types: Public limited companies and Private limited companies.
